God's plan

Well, so much has happened in the last month! Here are some family photos of our fun day at the Mall of America. It was the day BEFORE we all got sick. Since then, we have all been on antibiotics, Jenay has been to the ER and diagnosed with RSV, and we are still getting up in the middle of the night to neb her. Grandma and Grandpa came to visit--well, to help us build a 2nd bathroom--and now Grandma is sick too. They got stranded here for a couple extra days because we got a dumping of over 12 inches of snow. My hubby has managed to stay well with this round of sickness. . .although he has been snoring like crazy the last couple of days. I have been sleeping on an air mattress in Jenay's bedroom so I can monitor her and I can hear him loud and clear like he is right next to me. It is a blessing in disguise that I am so freaked out about her coughing and feel the need to be in her room! :0) Just before all this was happening, Craig and I were feeling the stress of life, parental responsibilities, relationships, personal needs, and how the heck you manage it all. God sure has a way of putting things in perspective. Even though I am exhausted and pretty much home bound with the sick kids, I feel like things are back on track. I think we all have that tunnel vision and kind of feel trapped from all this snow. It reminds me how important it is to lean on others. My table leader from church brought us a meal last night--just because we have been so, well, sick and busy and exhausted here. I cannot even tell you what such a simple and loving gesture did for us. Small things speak very loudly. God is good and all things that happen are part of some greater plan. I really believe that.
